Pain Jerk is legendary Japanese noise master Kohei Gomi (also a member of

 Japanoise supergroup Gomikawa Fumio). Gomi is famed for his ‘dynamic’, highly physical brand of brutal analog squall, and has destroyed festivals in Norway and the US, but has never set foot in the UK.

Emeralds are the prodigious trio from Ohio that have emerged from the US noise landscape yet relate much more to the ethereal beauty of 1970s Germany, producing a kind of beatless take on the dreaminess of Harmonia and Cluster.

Blue Sabbath, Black Fiji will be making a rare Edinburgh appearance. Incendiary guitar noise/attack from Glasgow (via France/Germany). A truly awesome live act.

Diva Abrasiva, Merry bunch of men will be torturing modified instruments and industrial, domestic material (string-hanged feeding back bucket, kitchen sink, custom bio-hazard cab horn and more) in flavor of free improvisation, free noise, for your aural pleasure. racket-decay!

  Blistrap

A promise of real power focus / chaos, volume and headspin..! In the true renegade spirit of improvisation, this tour is being set up before these three musicians have ever played together! Beck and Drury are regular counterparts and have invited Giust from Italy to join them since witnessing his inimitable free drumming while on the same bill in London in ‘07. A ‘remote’ recording session is underway in preperation for release to coincide with the tour! Much in the spirit of Borbetomagus, BLISTRAP combine extreme noise with moments of thrilling and elaborate improvising!

Mick Beck (UK)- tenor sax / bassoon

Stefano Giust (Italy) – drums / percussion

Jonny Drury (UK)- guitars / electronics

  Lapslap

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Lapslap emerged from a desire to make well-formed music in realtime using computers and instruments. The group freely combines computer solos with instrumental trios and any combination in between: in one set, instrumentation can range from the purely acoustic piano/sax/horn to the completely electric laptop/laptop/synth. The music draws from traditions ranging from avant-garde classical, free improv/free jazz through to improvised electroacoustic/glitch.

Lapslap are;

Michael Edwards – tenor & soprano saxophones, computer, midi wind controller

Martin Parker – french horn, flugel horn, recorder, computer

Karin Schistek – piano, synth
